Project Description
Nerd Farm Blog Website
Nerd Farm Blog founder, Burke Lant, came to us in late 2011 for help with establishing a brand for his blog, Nerd Farm, at WordPress.com and to help him convert that blog into a WordPress.org self-hosted website.
While Jay started work on the Nerd Farm Blog logo and our FAToons™ illustrator, Bryan, went to work on Burke's FAToon™, Fat Beard helped Burke register a domain name and setup his own WP Engine Personal Hosting Plan.
From there, Burke purchased a Guided Transfer from the WordPress.com Store and once the Happiness Engineers at WordPress finished the transfer, we installed the Genesis Framework for WordPress and a Genesis Framework Child Theme for us to customize for him.
The Nerd Farm Blog Website project is a great example of how Fat Beard can help those with a limited budget convert their WordPress.com blog into a WordPress.org self-hosted website.
